Come imagine the future of the park together!

Home to well-loved baseball fields and basketball courts, Saint Louis Park and the nearby riverfront face environmental challenges such as extreme heat, poor air quality, and flooding. The new design of the park will integrate strategies to mitigate these hazards while also improving  riverfront experiences and investing in vibrant gathering spaces in this corner of Centralville.

Take the survey

New improvements are coming to Saint Louis Park and the nearby Merrimack Riverfront near the Ouellette (Aiken Street) Bridge! These improvements will create the Saint Louis “Sponge” Park, a 13.7-acre greenspace that will expand Saint Louis Park to the Merrimack River and add new features to boost Centralville’s resilience to extreme weather and provide top-notch recreational amenities. A new splashpad, playground, and picnic plaza are already under construction and planned to open in Summer 2026. And there is much more to come. Scan the QR code to learn more!
